First Aid Kits (continued)
Farming and animal care requires a lot of manual labour which can lead to injury, injuries ranging from minor cuts and sprains to life-threatening wounds and impact traumas. People who work with horses or cattle are at a greater risk of injury than most other professionals, these animals being amongst the largest and most powerful with which people interact with on a daily basis. Most of these encounters are positive, however it is best to prepare for any situation. Routine tasks are frequently carried out on the animals without any incidents occurring, but all animals can react unpredictably to certain situations. People generally work very close to horses which can be an added challenge, especially if it is in a closed environment (like a stable). It pays to always be ready for the worst case scenario and to have the correct medical equipment at hand.
Our first aid equipment has been specifically sourced to provide treatment for a range of minor injuries, they are stocked with waterproof plasters -useful for treating small cuts and scratches-with sterile dressings, disposable gloves and wound wipes, all suitable for providing light treatment, until medical assistance arrives. These first aid kits are vital to have to hand, in case of emergency.
